As a full-time artist, I value the time and freedom to fully immerse myself in my creative practice. Working primarily in acrylic, I draw constant inspiration from the surrounding landscape—its light, colour, and ever-changing moods.
I am a self-taught artist with a strong desire to continually learn and explore new techniques. The evolution of my work has been both challenging and deeply rewarding as I develop and refine my skills to create original pieces. My love of painting was influenced by my dad, while my creative passion by my mom—both influences continue to shape my creative journey.
Painting and creating have always been part of my life, and I’m grateful to share this joy and excitement for art with my daughters and grandchildren.

My current artwork is intuitive, abstract, and expressionistic, influenced by the surrounding landscape. I work with mixed media, including acrylic paint, pastels, pencils, modeling pastes, collage, plaster, and a variety of mark-making tools. Through the use of colourful layers and rich textures, I create depth and dimension on canvas,

Through the use of colourful layers and rich textures, I create depth and dimension on canvas, paper, and reclaimed barn wood.
My past work has included water-based paints, chalk pastels, and oil paint, with subject matter ranging from abstraction to realism.

My Inspiration
Living in Southern Alberta, with close proximity to both the prairies and the mountains, provides endless inspiration drawn from nature, florals, cityscapes, and farm and rodeo life, among other influences. Dedicating time to my art allows me to quiet my mind and create intuitively.
