I live and create in my art studio within my home studio in south Calgary and within the beautiful Southern Alberta Foothills. Retiring from the corporate world in 2019 has allowed for increased opportunities and time to create my art. I live and create in my art studio within my home studio in south Calgary and within the beautiful Southern Alberta Foothills. Retiring from the corporate world in 2019 has allowed for increased opportunities and time to create my art. My desire to learn new techniques is great and the evolution of my work has been both challenging and rewarding as I apply and hone new skills in creating my own original art. I am a self taught artist inheriting my joy of painting from my Dad and crafting from my Mom. Painting and crafting has always been a part of my life and I share this interest and excitement for creating with my two daughters and my grandchildren.

Colourful layers and textures are created to provide dimension to my art on canvas, paper or barn wood. Past work has included water paints, chalk pastels, and oil paint while subject matter ranges from abstract to landscapes to portraits.

My Inspiration
Living within Southern Alberta and with close proximity to the prairies and the mountains provides me with inspiration of nature, florals, cityscapes, farm and rodeo life among other things. Dedicating time to my art has given me time to quiet my mind while creating intuitively.
